WHAT WE DO
When your water well pump begins making unusual noises, vibrating, or stops pumping water, we respond quickly to assess the problem and determine the best solution.
We specialize in repairing and replacing water well pump systems rather than routine pump servicing. Depending on the condition of the equipment, we may recondition the existing bowl assembly and electric motor or replace them with new components.
Our experienced rig operators handle the removal and installation of your pump system with the care and knowledge that comes from decades in the industry.
We take pride in getting to our customers without unnecessary delay. Our long-standing relationships with trusted industry vendors allow us to obtain customized bowl assemblies and other components quickly, helping us get your water system back in service as soon as possible.
IN-HOUSE MACHINE WORK
With our own machine shop, we handle specialty machining in-house—including shafts, threads, bushings, tubing specials, head shafts, and other custom pump components. This allows us to maintain quality, control the work, and keep repairs moving efficiently.

A Family Tradition of Hard Work & Service
Our story began long before Santa Cruz Pump Company was established in 1996.
For more than six decades, our family has been part of the water well pump industry. Our father, Terry Martinez, began working in the business at just 18 years old, starting by cleaning the shop and eventually working his way up to become a skilled rig operator. In the mid-1980s, Terry and our mother, Sally Martinez, became owners of the company. In 1996, they restructured and welcomed our brother, Joey Martinez, as a partner after years of working alongside the family.
More than two decades ago, Carolyn Martinez, Joey's youngest sister, joined the family business. Today, she and Joey continue the work their parents began.
Together, Joey and Carolyn are proud to carry that tradition forward - serving our customers, standing behind our work, and remaining committed to the community that has supported us for so many years.
Many of our employees have been with us for more than ten years, and we are grateful for the lasting relationships we've built with our employees, customers, vendors, and neighbors. Today, members of the younger generation of our family are also working alongside us, and we look forward to seeing them carry this tradition forward in their own time.
The name Santa Cruz also holds a special meaning to our family. In Spanish, Santa Cruz means “Holy Cross,” a reminder of the faith and values that have been part of our family.
Above all, we give God all the thanks and glory for the blessings, opportunities, and strength He has given our family and our company throughout the years. We are grateful for His guidance and for the people He has placed along our journey.
We are a small-town family business, and we are simply grateful to still be here, doing what we love and serving our community, and especially God.
